Try using a fish tank, you won't be able to go all the way in, but you can fit bigger cameras in there. And the flat glass on the fishtank removes any warps and what-not... At least a lot of them

Its very similar to DeerFilm's idea

Also gaff tape and use duvatine to block off light reflecting from the glass to the lens!
