Under the cirucmstances

If I drew up some real intricate plans for the dolly I made, which works well, would anyone here consider buying them?

And if so, for what price would be acceptable?

I think that'd be a hard sell...there is so much free information on the net and especially in the DIY section here...I mean, if these plans were VERY VERY easy to follow, well written, fully explained everything and yielded fantastic results, than maybe...

But thats just my opinion-

Yeah... if they're just plans, then you might want to offer them up for free. Just think of it as giving back to a community that gives you a lot.

Under the circumstances I would say that is like showing up to a party drinking all the beer and then asking for cash to go get some more.

People here share their ideas and innovations for free. To accept other's help but then charge for yours is IMHO not kosher.

On the other hand if you want to build and sell something that charges for your labor and parts that is cool.

My opinion

I could do that. I know the guy who builds Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Terry Labonte, and Kyle Bucsh's engines. I could sell the wheel mechanisms after I have them custom made. Then, sell them. Dont know how Neil Rowe would feel, though mine would be a lot cheaper.
