Uncrop

Hi all

I cropped some shots which I want to return to their original look. Is it possible to do that in Vegas? And if I do it, will the slight pixelization of the image be corrected back?

Thanks.

If you're taking already rendered footage, the only way to uncrop it that I'm aware of is to zoom in, using the pan/crop function. Of course, just like pan & scan, etc. you're going to lose the edges/sides of your image.

As far as pixelization, I'm guessing that's from compression settings in the original render.... no, there's no way to correct/improve those, at least not within Vegas, and with no simple fix/settings.

Thanks for your reply.

What do you mean by zoom in? I've already zoomed in when I made the original crop. Now I want to undo that crop and set everything back again. I want to re-crop it in After Effects.

Can you post a screen grab of what you're looking at? Perhaps one of the clip, with the pan/crop window opened....

I think I was thinking of the black bars at top & bottom with regards to the crop. So, since you've zoomed in already, then just open up the pan/crop function, right click in the window & choose reset ... that should take care of it.

If you cropped it in Vegas then you can go into the Pan/Crop settings window and right-click and select Restore and it will return the crop to the original size.
