Uncompressed Quicktime

Mark Harris

Pain in the ass
So whenever I try to export an uncompressed QT7, I get an error saying something like video format not supported. I've looked in the logs, I've looked in the help. Nada.

I am trying to figure out how to export an uncompressed QT file that an apple program can read...no luck.

okay, thanks. I guess there is something wonky with my install.

Are there any funky issues with any versions of QT that you know of?

Well, random things tend to go weird whenever you install an update to the Quicktime Player. Not really predictable, though.

Interesting. Maybe I am an idiot, but the reason it was not going was the timeline was set to 60 fps. So the export was trying to do that. When I change the export to do, say 23.98 fps, it worked.

Odd.

Okay I got one more for you. Not sure if this is just qt or all renders. But when I render something out uncompressed and the bring it back into the timeline, the cuts all become super suble crossfades. There are no more clean cuts in the rendered file. What's the deal with that?
