If I use the AJ-PCS060G storage device to import Hi-def 720p/24pn footage into FCP- does it import uncompressed?

I ask because I kept reading on FCP forums that you need a $$$$ Kona card to import/export uncompressed HD. This doesn't make sense to me unless you are using a tape format.

Also- will a dedicated Hitachi 500g internal SATA be enough to edit 720p/24pn?

I want to import footage and burn it out to DVD and Blue Ray (in the near future)

Well No it is not uncompressed. It is still in the DVCPRO HD compression. So for you to get uncompressed video out of it ou would need to hook your camera up with the compent cables and then go from that to HD SDI and then go into a Kona Card.

As for the Hard Drive the bigger the better. and make sure that it is at least 7200RPM
