Uncompressed 24p?????

if i want to shoot in 24p and then not loose quality, do I import footage to computer uusing the uncompressed function? will it take forever to edit uncompressed footage? can i transfer everyting back to tape with no quality loss afterwards? is a computer able to handle this type of work load?

what should i do?

You can't . . . unless you rip the camera apart a la the Andromeda and feed uncompressed straight from the CCDs. My guess is you're not going to do that.

The DSP in the camera compresses the data into the DV spec. What you capture from the tape is straight DV, and there is no extra compression added. Your computer can handle editing the full-quality data stream from the tape. Don't sweat it.
