unable to load new hd projects

i have this problem where i cant create a HD time line

how do i fix this???

Looks like your HDV presets folder is empty and your missing a pile of others.

Here's a glance at just some of my presets.

i just installed it this morning

i was looking threw the user guide and this is what i found

"Premiere Pro does not contain its own presets for HD footage. HD footage presets are usually installed into Premiere Pro when an HD capture card that supports Adobe Premiere Pro is installed."
so what capture card do i need because i already captured all my footage using OnLocation i have a firewire card installed on my computer

I dont think that is correct regarding HDV presets.

Try reinstalling. You will find a repair function in the installer.


BTW - did you do the update 3.2.0

There is an Update Option in the top Menu Bar.

BTW _ Is this a full version or a trial version?

but it gives me this message
additional codecs must be installed
then i click ok
and it says it fails and to restart but when i restart it does it again

When are you getting the message you quoted about the CODECS? ie at what stage ?

You should uninstall any Quicktime or other video codecs you have, and reinstall the latest Quicktime. I had the same problems, but it turned out to be 3rd party codecs I had installed with a video player.

the CODECS error is right when i open the program then it tries to install them but it fails every time.
and i will reinstall quick time

so i tried reinstalling the whole program and now i have a new problem. it starts loading and then it crashes!!!

yeah there only open monday to friday so i guess i will wait till tomorrow
