Any one having this issue? Tried all export settings, short clips work seem ok. I turned off Nap, copied to new project, per apple
forums, still will not finish.

2009 MBP 17"
2 one TB internal drives.
8gb ram
Latest FCPX and Mavericks

is it stopping mid export talking about frames no being able to be exported?

I had a friend with that issue a few weeks ago. I should really find out what he did to resolve it.

Stops midway, somethis never gets past 1percent. Depends on the export setting. DVD export went about 35percent. Then Pro encoder not responding in activity display.

I copied my project and pasted it into a new project. Re-rendered it. Was exporting a master file to a drive that had 400GB. The file was only reported to be about 130GB. The export failed at 26 percent, and the error said the hard drive was full.
I verified the info of the drive and now only had about 66GB left. Can't see any files in the folder I exported to. Deleted that folder, unmounted and remounted after emptying the trash. The hard drive still has all that space used? Any ideas would be most appriciated.

I am experiencing the same behaviour on my MacBook Pro. If the project is longer than about 5 minutes, export fails in about one third with Quick Time error -50. Regardless whether I use FCPX directly or send the job to Compressor.

I have tried everything I could think of - footage on a different disk, new project, clearing caches, checking disk, permissions repair etc. etc. Strangely enough, my Mac Pro works fine - with the same versions of Mavericks and FCPX, so I have at least been able to move my project by way of XML export.

Is there any fix for this yet? I can export from my last os fine, but not mavericks. Note:I have found in the activity monitor "Pro Transcoder Tool (not responding) with Mavericks.

Try Pre-Rendering the timeline for playback, and then output a master file using the source/sequence settings. It's possible a third party effect is messing with the render. For me, it was Lock and Load X...

Did not work for me. Master file, DVD, ect. would not complete export. I have searched all forums, seen some with the same concern. Just hoping for a fix soon. Mean wile I am using the last operating system backup.

Did you pre-render everything so there are no orange bars above the timeline? If final cut sees the render files, it will not need to do a render on export and instead just copies the files. You need to make sure you're exporting to the same codec as the timeline is set to, though. Does everything render on the timeline for playback ok before exporting?

Granted, it shouldn't be this difficult, just looking for a workaround.

Yes, did a pre-render, no orange bars. Immediately shows 5 percent, then never goes any further, after about 10 min I check activity monitor and Pro Transcoder tool shows not responding. Left it run all night long, nothing further then 5 percent. I had about 350GB free on the drive, export file was about 125GB. I am working on clearing a drive now and will retry to a clean drive. Thank you for your quick response...:).
