Thank you! The way that page is setup is most useful.
I know it may be blasphemy to some, but I find the differences between the various lenses to most times be minimal. Generally speaking they all look good and I find that the differences between the lenses aren't anything that would make or break a production. The impact the lens characteristics have on a production isn't, imo, anywhere near as much as the impact that lighting and post-production grading have. The differences in the lens characteristics is quite often splitting hairs despite the extent to which people will debate the lens characteristics and advocate on behalf of particular lenses.
While it is no doubt true that there are lens characteristics which lend themselves better to the desired aesthetic of a piece of work, a visually excellent piece can be produced with any of these lenses.
Despite what I just said about the differences in characteristics being relatively minimal, for no reason I can pin down I am a fan of the Zeiss Super Speeds. Although there is something appealing about the look of the Lomos.
I'd be thrilled to own a set of any of these lenses.
Wow. Massively useful. Thank you for posting. Watched them on the laptop, but if they upload the source files, I'd love to see them on a properly calibrated monitor. I began to regret recently selling a Leica R set. So beautiful. The chromatic aberration on the flashlight during the lens flare test on the Nikon 35mm ais wide open is really a sight to behold. Deep Purple!
Concur with the above sentiment. I'd love to own any one of these sets as well. Each one is a powerful set of tools for different applications.
