UK - Purchasing SLR lenses

Hi all, quickie - I'm based in Manchester, UK, and I'm about to purchase the SGpro adaptor - anyone know where I'm best off getting me some Nikon primes? Obviously I would like to be able to give 'em a once-over first, ideally. Cheers!

Ebay mate. If you want to handle them before buying you will have to go to second hand camera shops, but expect to pay a premium.

Buy with Paypal on ebay and you are covered if the lens doesn't live up to the sellers discription.

And be sure to get matching lens with same coatings and from same manufacturer so you will have the same feel for every lens and of course the focusing ring will turn in the same direction. Nikkor primes have reversed focusing direction (infinity will be on the left instead of right) when compared to real motion picture or ENG lens. That in my mind is quite an argument against Nikkor lens as if you`ll ever fork for real production or with real equipment you must undertake a re-learning process to get used to "reversed" focusing. Even the new Zeiss ZF lens are reversed in that matter. You can`t even ask a film school student to pull focus as almost nobody is prepared for reversed focusing direction.
I actually sold my Nikkor MF lenses because of that.
