UK lighting equipment in the US

Got a shoot coming up in the states soonish and just wanted to know what problems I should expect if using my UK bought lighting kit across the pond. I've got four lights coming in at 1600W so by my calculations that should be just about safe on your power as long as there is practically nothing else on the circuit. Will the lights operate exactly the same as they do in the uk same brightness etc? Anything I should e cafeful of?

Hi Kaxie,

What sort of lights are they? If they are tungsten you will have to change the bulbs if working with domestic power @110v.

Lower voltage bulbs are more efficient, that's why 12v dedolights are very bright for 100w. Expect your lights to produce slightly more light with 110v bulbs fitted.
