Well, what do you think?

I'm sort of hoping that St. Pierre wins. Not that Huges isn't great... I would just like to see a change for a while. I love St. Pierre's style too.

I'm up in the air for Sylvia and Monson.

Mir. vs. Vera should be a good one as well.

St. Pierre is indeed the man, but I just don't think he can hang with Matt Hughes. Hughes is a rediculously dominant fighter. St. Pierre's ground game is probably superior, but I think Hughes is too strong and too smart to let St. Pierre win.

Just got back from watching this fight... St Pierre landed some serious blows to Hughes. Good fight but Pierre is so fast-- I don't think Hughes' heart was in it tonight. It seemed he was heavily outmatched by Pierre's speed.

I would have agreed with you a few hours ago.... but wow St. Pierre did a great job. Wow. great fights tonight.

Yep, he is young... and has a decent head on his shoulders. As long as he doesn't get overly cocky, he will be around for a long time.

The fight with Sylvia and Monson was kinda irritating. I feel like Sylvia is only around because of his size... in terms of skill or rather talent, he's outclassed by many guys but his long legs, reach and weight make it extremely difficult to defeat him.

Yea, I agree. But what can you do.

Monson is only 5' 9" and over 230... holy smokes batman, the guy is a compact rock. 5' 9" is pretty small for heavy weight, but he stuck it out.

Silva showed some decent ground skills. It is not very often that you see Silva on the ground.

and with Monson. i was impressed with Tim's defense but he never threw a good right hand which Monson was wide open for. Tim was too busy defending his belt and not fighting...boo. St.Pierre i had a feeling he was going to win.. then when Matt stood toe to toe with him, that was a mistake, he was dropping his right and i had told my friends that George will drop him with a left hook.......but a left foot did it.

GSP was doing some serious boxing training at a gritty gym, with gritty badass boxers who didnt care he was a UFC star.... he was just another dude in the gym, sparring with dudes who wanted to take his head off, thats what gave him the mental edge (not to mention the standup edge)..... GSP looked really really improved.... the dude is in a perpetual state of improvement

Monson fought hard but Sylvia was just too friggin big.... and his reach was ridiculous.... even when Monson got the double leg, he still couldnt even reach back to pass Sylvia's guard cuz his damn legs were soooo long..... too much of a size difference for the snowman to overcome but he gets my props cuz he hung in there and fought hard...... Sylvia on the other hand coasted to the decision (like I knew he would) he's invented a new style.... its not the lay n pray, its the stand n pray

Verry impressed with St. Pierre... I don't know what the hell was wrong with Hughes. He really didn't seem like himself. The intensity and passion just wasn't there. Hughes used to be damn near unbeatable. I've always liked St. Pierre though, so good for him... Just really sad that Hughes looked so off.
