U2 Vertigo, St. Louis

Knight of the Holy Order
Hello all. It's 3:30 AM and I just got back home from the U2 concert in St. Louis and I just have to share something.

Not sure if you know a lot about the U2 stage setup, but there's a portion of the stage that encircles some audience members. The people that get to be inside the circle is completely random based on your ticket. I never win anything. My name is never selected. I'm just not lucky in that regard. And that continues to be true. They scanned my ticket and said, "Sorry." But then they scanned my wife's ticket. Oh yeah! Inside the circle, baby! I was litterally 10 ft. from Bono.

Sorry for the indulgent post. I've been a die hard U2 fan since I was 10 years old. I've seen them in concert many times, but this was amazing.

Now I've got to get some sleep. I'm shooting my Sci-Fest entry later today. How's that for a production schedule?

wow, i didn't know they were still on their vertigo tour, i saw them in anaheim like last year on the same tour!

i'm not sure if you got to see the entire stage and light show from your POV, but did they have the same stage setup with the light panels and the trails of light flying around in a circle all around the stage?

tjohara, I did miss most of the lights and such. The band was in my way.

I'll pick up the Vertigo DVD and catch what I missed.

Sweet! I just saw them in Dallas a few weeks ago. Stage was reminiscent of their last tour. Got to be on the floor for that one, but not inside the loop. That's flippin' awesome. Lucky!
