Two sennheiser evolution to a DSLR, any experience?

I want to connect two sennheiser evolution wireless microphones to a DSLR (d800 or mkIII) anyone have any experience with this?

I need a 3.5mm stereo -> 2 x 3.5mm mono, can I connect it directly to the camera or do I need a preamp like jucedlink?

Can I control left and right channel individually?
 
You have level controls from the units themselves, though I wouldn't rely on that too heavily on the extreme ends (very low or very high). You should be able to do it just fine. If you are referring to the 5D MKIII, it should have volume controls on there, although you want to fool the cameras preamps. Keep the input gain on the DSLR down and use the Sennheisers to adjust volume, that way the DSLR's preamps never even engage. If you are really wanting full control, get a Juicedlink DS214 with 1/8inch inputs for your two Senny's and then run that in via stereo cable into the camera. Again, make sure to keep the input low on the camera and boost the source externally (via the JuicedLink), thus fooling the cameras preamps into not engaging.
 
I have never been happy with the audio from the Canon DSLRs, even using a pad cable to go from Line Out to the Mic In of my DR-100. I highly recommend a separate recorder AND a pad cable (helps with syncing and the reference track is decent enough this way).
 
The use of a padded cable will in effect, make the premaps in the camera engage due to the higher input volume on the camera(please see prior post), giving you noise. In the 5D in particular, it's possible to get good clean audio (just as good as your DR-100), it just takes a little practice and trial and error in properly setting up your gain stages so the cameras preamp does not activate.
