For my film produciton class, I had to make a two-minute film and a four-minute film--or thereabouts. Here are the screenplays I wrote for them. I thought you all might like to see them, because they are fantastic. Also, if you liked my last screenplay "The Sickth Sense" (thread deleted) you will love these two.

I just thought I'd share. The fims are called "Vengeance" and "Handsome Man." The latter is my favorite.

Well, it's a challenge to tell a visually creative story in 2 pages, especially when production limitations are so intense. (We had a maximum of 2 actors, and had to shoot in one weekend with almost no crew.)

I think they are excellent screenplays, though. Handsome Man is especially good.

Well, I guess it's always useful to have a high opinion of one's own work...

They're both well-written within their limitations.

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT

JIM NEWELL (24), a well-groomed, self-confident hand model,
is reading "Hand Model Monthly." He reads an article on
"Hand-some Men" and is pleased to see himself mentioned.

Try to avoid using ING verbs. 'reading' should be 'reads'. Few exceptions, but best to keep the verbs in the same tense.

I enjoyed the piece. Funny.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it; I know it's nothing exceptional but I'm proud of what I got across in a page and a third.

I'll try to avoid "ing" verbs in the future in this kind of situation. I guess what I was going for was that the shot opens on him reading ("in media res" if you will) but this seems to work just as well with "reads."

I'm a big fan of brevity. You could get this down to ...

JIM NEWELL (24), a well-groomed, self-confident hand model,
reads "Hand Model Monthly, flips to an article on
"Hand-some Men" . He is pleased to see his name.

Maybe even try to slip the word 'manicured' in there.
