two questions about 16:9 with adapter

Hi guys,

I just purchased ;D DVX100AE (PAL) and I got a question:

1) Does the image on LCD looks the same:
- while shooting with anamorphic lens adapter and ...
- when I press squize mode in the camera?
Or it will be squized even more with adapter?

And the second question:

2) I'll use anamorphic lens adapter (waiting for shipping) so, does "in camera letterbox" gives me EXACT idea how I should mask my LCD while shooting with anamorphic lens adapter?
I just want to mask my LSD :-[ I mean LCD EXACTLY as it should be when shooting with anamorphic lens adapter.

I can't imagine why you'd want to mask your LCD at all when using the anamorphic adaptor.

So, while shooting with anamorphic lens adprter I do not have to mask LCD at all?

So, all the image on LCD is going to be on the screen, right?

I just did not know.

Yes, it will. But it will appear "squeezed", because you're trying to fit a 16:9-shaped image in a 4:3-shaped window. Everything will be visible, but it'll look like somebody squeezed it horizontally (which is basically exactly what the adapter does, optically).
