Two-Light Party Interview Setup

Hi folks,

I'm shooting a party with my HVX200, where I'll mostly work on a multicam of the band,
but they've also asked me to do some interviews of the guests between sets.

I'm thinking about a little setup near our P2 data wrangler, assembling 2-3 guests
in front of a wall, and setting up on a tripod with a shotgun on a boomstand overhead.
(Yes, just me doing everything, but there is someone actually asking questions, etc.)

Anyway, I own 2 Arrilight 650 fresnels.

I was thinking of using one with a 300W bulb for backlight and using the other with a 650W bulb either:
1. set up as a key focused on a large silk to provide general purpose softlight
or
2. set up as a somewhat hard key (with diffusion gels), also bouncing on a white foamcore to provide fill.

My goal is for the interviewees to look great and feel comfortable.

They both work, #2 works like a champ.

Try to get away from that wall, though, so you don't have to sweat shadows, so it's not boring and so the background can be out of focus. Try to shoot F2.8-4.

Thanks! I did some tests last night, and I was having a difficult time getting the fill to be bright enough with white board.
Should I maybe use a reflector instead of white board?
