Twixtor to the rescue

I was working with a dolly shot, a very bad one in FCP and tried slowing it down to 50%. Tried both blend mode and without. Bad stuff. Almost wrote off the shot, thinking it would be completely unuseable. But then downloaded the Twixtor plugin demo and all I can say is wow! With just a minimal amount of tweaks, actually only changed 1 setting, the shot became useable again. I wil be showing it to the client tomorrow and I think they are going to be very happy. This footage was shot 24PA, which is already challenging for doing slow motion, but throw in the shakiness of the dolly and the fact they went to fast, and it's amazing it looks okay now. It's not perfect, but much, much better. Just wanted to give those guys a nod for a great plugin.

Care to share the before and after versions of the dolly shot?

Also, could you elaborate on which settings you tweaked in Twixtor to make the shot turn out well? Did you look at any other slow motion plug-ins prior to using Twixtor? I'm looking to buy a slo-mo plug-in soon, as well.

Thanks.

I'll have to chck with the client first to see if I can publish the clip. Also, the client is paying for the plugin which is still in demo mode right now. As soon as I get permission and the full version with no watermarks, I will post it.
