Twilight

Anne Rice destroyed vampires. This seems to follow her lead. Wimpy vampires don't do anything for me. This seems like the typical soap opera crap to me. Vampires should be tough.

Anne Rice destroyed vampires...
I disagree.
Anne Rice just reversed the perspective so the POV is of the vampires.
To humans, her vampires would be as (or more?) vicious as any other.
In that regard, it's the same as The Sopranos.

But either way, pleeaaase don't compare this Twilight shi* to Interview.

Hi all,

Bernard Hughes was great in anything he did - Lost Boys, no exception. My wife picked up a copy of Twilight right after it was published only because of our Forks connection before the hubbub and read the series.

Naturally, I still hope the property values increase, but I doubt that the fishing gets any better.

We will likely see the film, even if in DVD, but the one I want to see is Let the Right One In.

I agree.

I love Interview. The Vamps are evil and scary. A killer film.

I have to say that I didn't think it was a horrible, but I went in with low expectations so that probably helped. I think it helps to think of the film as not a vampire movie, but more a love story that involves vampires.

Also the idea of vampires drinking animal blood instead of humans is not new, in fact they also had that idea in Interview.

The trends with vampires over the last 25 years or so have been interesting -- reflective of how we, as a society, like to demonize humans and humanize demons. Don't know that that means, but it's still interesting.

I've noticed this too. Also seen in the X-men films, with those themes of acceptance.

Twilight was disgustingly terrible. I nearly threw up.

Who the hell was the cinematographer.
