Hello all, I've been absorbing as much knowledge as possible on this forum for the past year or so. And now is the time to make my first post.
Im currently involved in the development of a cutting edge TV show specifically geared for the college aged generation. We're looking at a MTV feel (with actual content because MTV has zero) but even more far fetched and appealing. We'll be shooting in all different types of evnvironments, i.e. run-and-gun to setup shots. And I need a camera that is versatile and just simply looks amazing on TV. I'm currently doing the ever so common battle between the XL2 and DVX.. I need to know what is the best for my scenario. I know this forum pushes the envelope for the film look, but I reallly need something that will look good once broadcasted.
I guess what I really want to know is which is a better broadcast camera? The good news is I already own the DVX-100 model (not the "a") but have been considering the XL2 specifically for the show (in fact we plan on buying 2). Let me know guys, thanks!!
