TV Safe Mode question

Is there a TV safe mode on the DVX or do I do it in post on my NLE? Assuming there is one on the camera, if I use it, will it affect anything in the event I transfer to film? If there is no safe mode on the DVX what is the best rule of thumb when shooting, i.e. how much space do I allow using the view finder or external monitor?

There is no TV safe mode on the DVX, but I have found the LCD to actually be pretty close. I'd give a little room, but I run into more problems with what the LCD doesn't show when I am not using a production monitor.
 
Okay Jim, so are you saying I should allow extra space around all four corners of the LCD screen/frame, i.e. don't go in so tight when shooting a scene? If so, how much?
