Tutorials on Compositing

Did a search, didn't find much.

Anyone know where I can find some good tutorials on compositing in VEGAS 5. Does the Gary Kleiner tutorials help for this sort of thing? Tim.
 
Spotted Eagle's Vegas guides will get you going. The guy forgot more about Vegas over breakfast this morning than I know in toto, so you'll be in good hands.

Also, download the sample projects from the Sony site, if you haven't already. They'll explain a LOT about various compositing effects and modes, bezier masking, 3D track motion, parent/child tracks, etc.. VERY valuable.
 
Thanks Douglas. I have been on the vasst site many times. I was just wondering if there was some kind of cd-rom or dvd/tutorial or something I could buy.

Will do. Do you think it will literally be 3 weeks or are we talking a couple of months? I'm not nagging, just wanna know how long it will be. Also, is there an official site for your guy's products (or is it the vasst.com).
 
Probably about 5-6 weeks, that's the hope. Wish I could say more. We've got several new products releasing in the first quarter, and it's scheduled for first quarter, unless something else comes up.
Yes, all of our products are found on the VASST website under the "Products" option on the top of our pages.
If there is something specific you're looking to know, drop a question, I'll try to answer it, and perhaps can build you a veg file.
 
Thanks so much. I'm basically looking to start learning about compositing. I don't know squat so would like a good starting point.
