tutorials for FCP

I'm new to FCP.

The tutorial CD doesn't cover much. I know there are some tutorials out there- which ones are best?

Also, two dumb questions: what's that beeping sound when i import video and play it back? (and how do i stop it)

And how do you erase the audio portion of a video shot?

Since you don't want to read the manual I guess I shouldn't be mad that you don't even want to glance at these posts either.

Well... it was obvious to me that you DIDN'T look at this page. Try it again.

Since your specific questions are a bit more obscure -- not the second one, that's in the manual AND in the tutorials you didn't do..., the beeping is telling you the audio doesn't match your sequence settings.

What are you trying to edit?

Erase the audio -- select the clip and hit L or Shift L I forget to unlink the audio from the video then hilite the audio and hit delete.

Please read everything you can... you might actually enjoy it.

thanks. I'll take your advice and read everything i can.

If you're referring to the tutorials that you've posted that are stickys, they are good. great even. you go slowly and speak clearly, very helpful. i've checked them out. but i'm just a beginner. I'm just trying to take things very slow cause FCP has me a little by the whatchamacallit.

I can fly on Pro Tools, so it's funny that i suck at FCP!
