turbine windmill sound

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a sound clip(could be foley) for a huge turbine windmill. I would like to have that "hooo hooo" sound as the huge blade of a turbine windmill slicing through the air. Does anyone know where to get a audio clip like that?

Sound dogs?
Helicopter slowed down, Ceiling fan (I have some very close miced blade by's), swing a big board around and record it, though probably a stick would work better (and you probably have to slow it down).
 
A meter-long piece of ABS pipe will give a good "hoo" when swung in an arc (pitch will depend on the diameter and length of the pipe, and the speed of the swing). For a more massive air displacement sound, use a stiff board or cookie sheet to wave a blast of air into the diaphragm of a dynamic mic (Shure SM58 is a good choice, although an AKG D112 will give you much more bass).

You may need to combine two or more effects for the desired sound.
