I broke a few tubes on my Mole Richardson Biax 2. So I went down to MR and they gave me 2 biax Kino tubes. Now, it seems they run a little red. Last time I had Osram tubes. They seemed to work better, or least balanced better with daylight.
Even during stills, I had to take a little of the red out. Is this because the Kino's ballast overdrives their tubes?
Speaking of ballast, I bought one of the MR Biax2 used, very cheap, because it didn't work. I pretty much knew it was the ballast. And sure enough, I pulled out the Advance RZT-2S54 and replaced it with a new one. Didn't buy from MR though. They wanted close to $200. Heh, found them for $65. Why they charge so much for a Chinese ballast is beyond me.
How about the Coollight tubes? Don't they use the same ballast? Or do they use the Advance ICN-2S54?
