I have a project in Vegas 4, shot 24PA, with anamorphic adapter. The footage shows up in the media pool as 23.976 fps progressive footage. Great.
If I want to use the Tmpgenc encoder to convert my footage to 24P MPEG-2 (for a progressive DVD), I need to export my footage from Vegas into an AVI file, but with what settings? NTSC Widescreen 23P footage with 2-3-3-2 pulldown, or NTSC Widescreen 24P INSERTING 2-3-3-2 pulldown, or just plain old NTSC Widescreen?
I can tell Tmpgenc that the source footage is 23.976 fps and progressive, can I set it to export the same framerate and mode, but in MPEG-2? If so, what are the settings?
