Hello, I am new to this forum. I'm a documentary PM (not a DP), in the interest of full disclosure!
I’m trying to source something called a “SoftScreen” for an upcoming shoot in NY next Wed 5/10. Here it is, pretty cool actually: http://www.indietoolbox.com/
We have ordered one from the guy in LA who makes them, but so far he can’t guarantee timely delivery. No one has one here in DC for me to rent, and I’ve talked to a few DPs I know in NYC and they haven't heard of it.
I think I will need to rent it from an individual who owns it, as opposed to a lighting/grip vendor. If anyone has any ideas for sourcing it in NYC area (or if you own one you'd like to rent for a day), I’d appreciate it!
Thanks,
Lynne
