Trying to ID supernatural thriller.

I saw this feature film in the past year or so (probably no more than 3 or 4 years old) and it's driving me nuts that I can't find it or remember the title:

Protagonist was a young woman who experienced moments where she was pursued or visited by some kind of supernatural force in the form of some sparkly particles and hazy air phenomena. She had a long lost, brooding brother who rode a motorcycle and sort of came to her rescue(?) maybe half way or so into the film. I believe both were Asian. I believe the film started off with an Asian woman frozen, standing in place (recently deceased) who was apparently hundreds of years old as it turned out.

The story wasn't anything amazing but I remember really liking the cinematography. Thanks for any help if anyone knows what this is. It's amazing how terrible search engines are at identifying film plots.

It's driving me insane that I cannot find this movie for you, and I have been trying for 4 days.

I think that there is a detail above that is throwing off the search because it cannot be this challenging.

Was this a big blockbuster Hollywood feature film or a Lifetime-like TV feature film?

Haha, thank you for the effort! No, it wasn't a studio film. I don't remember any a-listers in the cast. I think it's too trippy for a Lifetime movie. It's really strange that nothing comes up in searches. It's an English language film and I'm pretty sure made somewhere in the West. I remember looking up the Asian actress after watching the film, but I have no idea of name. My next approach is to start searching Asian actresses in their mid 20's, since I might recognize her face.

Genre might be murder mystery, since the suddenly petrified woman was obviously deceased.
