trying to help out a PC friend

Here is the problem he presented me with. Not really sure how to help him since I dont know much about PC's.
"1. I export a quicktime file (either in .dv, .mov, .avi, or in quicktime reference) from Avid Media Composer


2. I open up Nero Vision 9

3. I press Make DVD/Make DVD-Video

4. I press Import so I can add a quicktime video file

5. After the file is added, I press Next and then I press Next again to review the project.

6. The project plays perfectly, but with no sound.

Why on earth is exporting QT files if he is on a PC?

DVD support either .ac3 sound, or LPCM 16 bit (and maybe 24bit but I can't remember). He needs to be exporting in one of the supported formats. The Nero manual or online help should tell him as much.
