trying to convince station to switch to FCP

the tv station I work for is planning on moving to HD in the next year or 2. As of now we have 2 Avid Newscutters with 2 gigs of ram and single intel xeon processors.

Our stuff crashes daily but we've been unable to convince the uppers we need more power and stability for HD content for a better price than buying new avids. Anyone have any stats or sites that show comparisons of avids vs fcp for hd content and workflows or just any of your opinions?

Ive seen their video about a news station that uses FCP and server as well, not sure where on their site that was in.
