Trying to capture 24pa, but still needs rendering

I've read all the posts, don't know what I'm doing wrong, but still having to render 24pa. I have Sequence present set to "48khz -23.98", Capture preset to "48khz advanced (2:3:3:2) pulldown removal" and have checked that capure settings in log and capture window are set "48 khz -23.98-2:3:3:2) pulldown removal"

Any suggestions appreciated. Also, if I have can't fix this and have to render it, does it affect quality, or am I just getting to where I want to end up in a more roundabout way?

thanks.

Is your camera set to F6 and 16 bit audio?
Check you clip in the bin and see what all the settigns are.
Double check your sequence settings and make sure they're what you thought they are.

If you double check everything and you can't find a setting off. I'd trash your preferences and then reopen the project file, reset your sequence settings and try dropping a clip in the timeline. That is always my last resort. Actually whenever something doesn't work I trash my preferences first...

Great program to streamline the process..

If you've only set up your prefs in EASY SETUP or AUDIO/VIDEO SETTINGS, there is one more thing to do! In your main bin, control click on your sequence and from the drop down menu, choose SETTINGS. You'll notice that the COMPRESSOR, is set to something other than DVCPRO, change it back, then double check all other settings. This WILL work.
