Trying to achieve 2 effects.

Peace, Im trying to find out how to do the 2 following effects any and all help is gladly appreciated.

1st

In this first video below you'll notice at the 0:24 and the 1:08 Marks how the video switches back and forth through scenes very quickly, thats the first effect im looking for.

2nd

In this second video below you'll notice at the marks of 0:30 and 0:47 You'll notice how the words are running through the video that is the other look i am trying to achieve.

1. Maybe good old-fashioned cuts-only editing? Two layers, cut out what you don't want on layer 2.
2. That is good old-fashioned film leader keyed on top. You can find some online for free or cheap.
