True Grit - From the Coen Brothers

[Batutta]

Trailer's out. Looks awesome. The thought of a Coen Brothers western gets me excited, and the cast looks phenomenal--

Coen brothers said that NCFOM was the closest to an action movie they were ever going to make.

They cheated!

Another great example of never say never.

[Michael Anthony Horrigan]

Looks incredible. Can't wait to see this one.

As a great mouse once said: "HOLY FRIJOLES!!!!"

Cannot wait to see this.

Coen Bros. Jeff Bridges. Western.

I'm in. Trailer looked fantastic. Deakins at the top of his game.

[Razz16mm]

So is this a remake of the John Wayne classic? Kinda looks like it.

[Knoxworth]

Part of me wants to see a serious remake.

Part of me wants to see Jeff Bridges' horse killed from under him by a random cougar attack.

Just saw the trailer, looking forward to it.... A great cast, and the new actress Hailee Steinfeld has a strong and mature presence...

Ethan Coen and Joel Coen keep knocking out excellent films that definitely leaves their signature in all their works.

In just the past three years:
No Country For Old Men
Burn After Reading
A Serious Man
True Grit
Looking at what they've done in just about three years let alone all the movies since Blood Simple (1984) is amazing. There both hard workers, and it shows...

Not to mention they surround themselves with truly talented people.

And that good Sir, is truly one of the best insights to have; is the ability to recognize great talents in those individuals you decide to collaborate with.

This looks so badass, Jeff Bridges in a Western. I've enjoyed all of the films they released in the past few years and I'm pretty sure this will be awesome as well.

Yes, although I hear they are hewing more closely to the original novel.

+1

O Brother was a lot of fun, but I'm REALLY looking forward to what the Coen's can bring to a more authentic Western.

Trailer is beautiful.

I'll forever be excited for anything the Coen brothers have a hand in.

If they directed a Twilight movie, I'd be at the midnight showing.

Roger Deakins' photography in the trailer looks as beautiful as always.

[Nektonic]

I love the cinematography in this. Of course, it is Roger Deakins, so not surprising that it looks great.

I wasn't really a fan of No Country for Old Men, but this is a more traditional style western, so I've got a good feeling I'll dig this one.

[Denis Haineault]

I will definitely see this

[Richard J. Johnson]

I'm in for sure.

New longer trailer. I liked the mystery of the first trailer more, but it still looks great--
