Troubles with importing pictures

I am trying to import my picture I made in photoshop and when I view it on final cut the picture is blurry and poor quality. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the way im setting up the picture in photoshop or what. if could get some help that would be great thank you

What are your sequence settings and did you render the picture in the timeline? And what size is the photoshop image?

My settings are

Frame Size: 720x480 (Aspect Ratio) is NTSC DV (3:2)
Pixel Aspect Ratio: NTSC - CCIR 601 DV (720X480)
Field Dominance: Lower (Even)

Quick Time Video Settings

Compressor: DV/DVCPRO - NTSC

I did not render the picture yet and the size is 639x 279

Picture doesn't have enough resolution. To look good assuming not much zooming in you need a picture with at least twice your sequence resolution. I.e. web pix won't work well...

Render the sequence. Depending on the image type and dimensions, FCP will scale and distort the image to fit into the sequence and you'll have to render to see the best quality. You can check what's being done to your image in the Motion tab of the Viewer for any of the images placed in the timeline.

For NTSC DV, the FCP manual recommends you save the images as 720x540 in Photoshop. If you plan on doing zooms and pans, you need to increase that size (sticking to multiples of that dimension is a good start).

Sometimes I got this blur image too, I think it's due to the setting of your FCP, still image or full render the timeline ... you should output a small portion see if pics look shaper.
