Trouble with quicktime

Hi, so I exported these video files as quicktime movs. They play smooth on my comp. I then burn them to DVD. They play for a few seconds than stutter to a stop then stutter/skip through the timeline. I play it on different comps with the same results. I re-burn with different discs and get the same results. I play past quicktime discs that I have made and it runs smoothly. I open the corrupted movs on different players and get the same crappy results. I use premiere pro 1.5 with sorenson 3 compression. This workflow has never let me down and even the finished exported files look great...until I put them on a disc. Any ideas? Thanks.

are you playing them from a disc and not an encoded DVD file (which is mpeg) if you're using a CD the transfer rate is slower than playing off the hard drive. however it could be some other factor like background apps running. i've played commercially produced DVDs only to have my PC interrupt the playback.

encoded dvd file? Not sure what that is, but probably not. I just click the .mov window as I open the drive window. It's weird. Sometime a file will play through and not stutter and other times will.

that could be, but also think about this: if you are burning onto a dvd, the file is being transcoded into mpeg2, regardless of what you do. -- i assure you this probably has little to do with the QT format. i would be led to believe the problem lies in the DVDRAM you burn with.
