trouble with firestore

Anyone have a way to deal with this? I have a bunch of DVCPRO50 clips from a FS-100 that I can't play or import into Quicktime Pro or Final Cut Pro.

Where's that quote from? I'd be very surprised to see that dropped as there are many cameras on the market shooting 24pDVCPRO50 and it would make little sense to drop support. Perhaps someone from the competition?

I just got that reply from Focus Enhancements.

They say 480/24p DVCPRO50 will work with FCP, but 24pa will not.

I have FCP 5.1.4

I just figured out a way around it, no thanks to FE.

Since the clips play fine from the FS-100, I am able to capture through firewire the full DVCPRO 50 signal using log and capture with a "non-controllable device" setting.

They come in as 29.97, but I can use Cinema Tools to remove the pulldown.

I'm happy.

Ok well I'm going to edit this post because otherwise it's going to show up all over the place in google when it's actually a technical support issue of the Firestore.

Since it has the 2.3.3.2 cadence, can you use FCP TOOLS - Remove Advanced Pulldown?

Just straight from FCP??

I guess so...

I like the batch "reverse telecine" with Cinema Tools though.

My main concern was the fact that I had a bunch of DVCPRO50 Quicktime clips that weren't being recognized by Final Cut Pro. I asked Focus Enhancements straight out if I could play the clips from the Firestore and they only referred me to the FAQ.
