I have a movie about 45 minutes long that was edited on premiere pro 1.5 and I want to put on google video with the highest quality possible and am having some troubles. From what I have read the best way to compress my video would be to export it as an .avi file then import this into quicktime pro and export with an mpeg-4 or h.264 codec? With that said my .avi file will play smoothly in media player but not in quicktime..am I just missing a plugin or something? If you could give me some insight as to whats going on or link me to some reading about it would be awesome..I've searched everywhere and can't find anything. Thanks.

edit: I guess I should mention Im using vista

It's been a while since I've edited in Premiere, but it doesn't allow you to export h.264? I find that very hard to fathom.

Maybe tmpeg or a similar freeware program will do the job, at least they should handle .avis better than QT...
