Trouble creating a unique domain name for myself and upcoming website

Hey guys, so i am 2 semesters away from graduating with a cinema degree. I am in the process of making my own website, and i need a domain name that suits me. I have been pondering such for a few months now. I want to buy the domain name soon, but I am just having trouble coming up with a name for myself. I shoot mostly video, but also timelapse photography and have sold stills in the past.

any suggestions?

i was thinking "kvackaymedia", or "kvackayvideo"?

Mike Kvackay is my full name

No offense intended, but your name seems like it would be easily misspelled, so I would suggest using either a brand name, or a shortening of your name.

The domain, KvacMedia.com, for example, is available.

haha no offense taken

honestly i don't really see kvacmedia being usable, just sounds too amateur to me. sorry

open to any more suggestions or thoughts

What do you plan to do with your cinema degree? Are you starting a video production company? Putting out a resume so people who want to hire you can get some information? What is the purpose of this website? A company branding is a bad idea for a resume site. Your name seems like it could be misspelled, but most people looking at it are probably following a link you sent them or pursuing a business card anyway. Spelling is irrelevent. If your goal is not to start a company don't put 'media', 'video' or anything else on it. mikekvackay.com or mike-kvackay.com work just fine. I also notice your Vimeo name is mikekvack. MikeKvack.com might be even better since it coordinates with your Vimeo page.

I would try and stray away from anything that says what you do for now. My domain has had to change countless number of times as I figured things out. Something simple like MikeKvack.com is my best suggestion.

awesome thank you for your input. my vimeo is actually vimeo.com/mkvackay (which can be changed)

with that in mind i think i want to go foreword with either mikekvackay.com or mkvackay.com

final suggestions? thanks again

...btw you vimeo link does not work...

mikay.com - just an idea :)

the most serious would be mikekvackay.com, but even for me from austria, your name is pretty hard to spell...

signature should be fixed :)

and yes i understand my name is hard to say, but i really do agree with the posts above that spelling shouldn't be as big of an issue as you are saying. just my opinion though haha
