trouble capturing video over firewire

Hello, newbie here, but hopefully not a total idiot!
I have a PC with media center, it has an emuzed capture card in it I guess, and I just got Vegas, but it will not let me capture the video into it, it says the "Emuzed EvcapMaui Device" cannot be opened, that it is either being used by another application or it needs to be turned on.

I have captured some video previously in their program Movie Mill, which at this point I have uninstalled, but that was s-video, now I am trying firewire, any suggestions.

Sorry Dave, I don't know. I have a pyro firewire card, and when I connected my DV camera to it when in Vegas's video capture, Vegas recognized and controlled the device. I've had trouble a few times, but either reboot, or hit reconnect to video device, and it finds my camcorder. Make sure that your capture preferences have OHCI 1384 device enabled. Anyone else able to help him out?

Thanks for responding, the funny thing is I also emailed Emuzed yesterday, and just before I headed into work, I got the capture to work. But I didn't have time to post it.
This morning I got an email back from Emuzed and they said that thier capture card wasn't compatable with Vegas.
Weird huh!

Hi Dave,

I just completed my first capture using XP Pro with no problem. I connected my firewire to my Audigy Card. If you have a sound card (or any other firewire connections) you might try them.
