Tron Legacy Soundtrack is simply amazing

[Saharanturtle]

Just a reminder in case you forgot like I did:shocked: I just listened to it again for the first time since the movie came out, and wow oh wow

This is all I have to say:

[Justin Kuhn]

It's pretty excellent. When I finally get around to updating my reel I'm going to cut it to one of those tracks.

I think what I liked about it was that it was fairly bold. In the last decade or so decisions made on scoring have been so very conservative.

A number of the tracks were clearly 'inspired' by the soundtracks from 'The Dark Knight' and 'Inception'. But a very cool soundtrack (probably the best thing about that movie when you watched it in the cinema was the music - coupled with the set designs and costumes it felt like whole sections of the movie were like watching a long Daft Punk music video). Not a bad thing.

read the special thanks section of the liner notes carefully, you'll see why parts of it seem so familiar.

If liking the Tron Legacy soundtrack AND film is wrong, I don't want to be right.
