Q: Im looking for a tripod for the dvx does anyone have any suggestions?


Specific questions:

Q: Whats better above ground spreader or ground spreader? i have used ground spreader before mostly on flat surface but have never tried the other one is it better?


Q: What about 1 stage vs 2 stage tripods? looks like the 2 stage can go higher and lower, is there any significant difficulty setting up a 2 stage compared to a 1?

ST havent had a chance to take a look at those other tripods - but i just received my 351MVB wit 503head (couldnt afford the 525 legs) and it seems very solid and the fluid head is great - it's much larger than i expected (got it as part of a package so was not sure what to expect)... then again i am comparing to a set of overpriced $170 sony legs...
