I'm thinking about moving up to a better tripod system. I currently have the Bogen/Manfrotto 503 kit which is OK, but I'd like something better. My Budget is between $1k and $1.5K or there abouts.
My research to date tells me to look at Sachtler, Miller, Cartoni and Vinten.
While I have been looking at internet info on them, I do not have any real world experience with any of them and that is where you come in.
From a weight standpoint, I'd be mounting my DVX100B with matte box and possibly at some point, a light weight monitor.
Please give me your suggestions as experienced users in this price range.
