I have been using a Bogen 501 and just upgraded to the Sachtler DV6. I am not familiar with the counter balance and how best to use it.
I am using the HVX with no accessories. I have the plate set all the way forward to 0. The camera seems to be level at a counter balance of 6 to 7.
What is the general feeling about how and when to use the counter balance in conjunction with the tilt drag?
