Difficult choice between the Sachtler DV-6 and the Vinten Vision 3 heads. They are in the same price range with similar legs combo. Any feedback for both of them from people who work with them ? Any legs preference between Aluminium and carbon, they are about the same weight. Thanks.

We recently bought a tripod from Secced its a Chinese copy of a satchler, no complaints at all fantastic bit of kit.

I'm in montreal too. I havn't tried the vinten. though would love to test it. I did order the Sachtler dv 6 with Miller carbon legs. Compared to the bogan 503 i have it's a dream. Regardless, it still takes practice to get really good with these things. It's a much more cinematic experience to use a good head which is more appropriate for the hvx. Though I hear the O'conner discontinued dv head is even better . i saw one for sale used on ebay(1000$) just after ordering my Sachtler. Havn't seen any since, but that's what I would shop for for the ultimate in fluid head experience.
