Tripod Recommendation

I'm lookin' to buy myself a tripod here in the near future and I was wondering if y'all have any recommendations. I am shooting short films on the DVX. Portability isn't a big concern. Mostly I want functionality and smoothness. I have used mostly Manfrottos in the past but I am definately willing to branch out if y'all have a better suggestion. I'm also on a budget. So the moral of this story is...I'd like a nice tripod that will get the job done (fluid head of course) on the cheap. Let me know what ya got.

I use a libec TH650. But i think in the states you can get a TH22. Its pretty light weight and it does its job. . It has a level ball, etc...
 
if you can swing 500 bucks a Bogen/Manfrotto 503 can't be beat in that price range....

of course, what you mean by 'budget' will make all the difference....
