Tripod Question

I'm about to buy a DVX-100B and I was thinking what kind of tripod should I buy with it? I'd like to be able to attach a G35 and possibly a matte box onto the camera, then how big tripod should I buy?
How much weight should it be able to carry?
Is 8 kg enough?
I was offered the Libec LS 37 tripod, but it seems to be a bit small if I'm gonna hook the DVX up with a mattebox and the 35 adapter...

How much do those 35mm adapters weigh? The Bogen 503 head is good for heavier cameras.

The adapter weighs 1lbs, but the weight of the lens depends of the lens, I guess around 0.5-3 lbs. Therefore it's not that heavy alltogether.

You need something that will hold 6lb and up.

Well the next question is how much do you want to spend?

The Libec is supposed to hold around 14 lbs, which then should be enough.

I went w/ this one and though it's over your budget there's lots of room to grow into it-and it's got so many advantages. For me I didn't want to skimp on this purchase. The DV-4II that twocik has is veryy nice too and a lot cheaper.
