Tripod Question

I bought a Libec RH25R 75mm ball fluid head at a really good price, hoping to fit this using an adapter to my Manfrotto 028 tripod,

No combination of Manfrotto adapter 325N and Manfrotto 520BALL seemed to work, so I am now in the market for a tripod.

I liked my 028 for it's robustness, geared center column, 89 inch reach and had no complaints re its 10 lbs weight (saves having a membership at the gym).

OK, after talking to B&H and friends, I figure that I might as well, for the same price, get an RT30B Libec tripod, add a mid-level spreader and given that the spec sheet states that it is meant for use with the RH25R head, my risk of taking a wrong decision is quite low.

Problem solved . . . .
