Hi, i hesitate between 2 setups for travelling video (its perfect for me, i need 19 inches of lenght total):

- Mefoto legs + 128rc head
- Aero 2 (with the included head)

What would you choose between the 2 ? Do you have a better 3rd option?

Thanks in advance,
Have a good day

The Aero2 with a better head might be OK, I have an S6 head on taller legs and it is about the minimum I would consider using. The S8 would be a better head. The legs are legs, both are probably decent. No experience with the 128rc head.

If the Aero2 legs are the same (but shorter) than the tripod I have, they are decently stiff when set up. Even with the column raised it is OK and the ability to unscrew a leg and take the column out to be a monopod is a nice feature. I almost bought the Aero2 but found a great price on a demo tripod with the better S6 head, but kind of wish I had gone the extra money for the S8 head.

I haven't used both, or many others to compare, but I have the MeFoto and I put a manfrotto 502 head on it (lighter variant, whatever the product code is).

I don't know if it's a "pro" tripod but I'm a pro and it works fine for my needs. Gets nice and small. I don't subject it to heavy use, just when I need to setup a tripod shot for interviews or static b-camera or something of that nature. I can use some spare gear or gear bag on the underside clip to weight the tripod down and anchor it more into the ground.

It looks like the Benro has most of the same features.

There's also Zomei now - Chinese copy cat, even cheaper, and seems to have similar quality, but again I don't know.

On the high end, there's the Gitzo travel tripods if you have cash to spare and really prioritize this.

Beware going too cheap! I have a $35 (including shipping) compact tripod from Neewer, and boy is it cheap. It will do what I wanted it for, but I certainly wouldn't want it for anything decent (even if I changed the head). It looks great in the photos.
