Tripod height?

Look ma no hands
It looks like there are a few people here using the 503/525 combo. I'm looking at that and wondering something. The maximum height is listed at about 5'1". Is that tall enough. I'm 6'2". Maybe I'm just being paranoid. Any thoughts from you 525 users?

with the tripod fully extended I have to stand on a foot stool to view the spirit level, but I'm only 5'10".   With the head and camera on top, you gain some more vert.  I would say at 6'2" you should be fine.  You may even find that you are not tall enough when the tripod is at full extension with head and camera on top.  It all depends on what you are shooting too.  Do you need full extension?

Thanks a lot! That sounds like it will be perfect for me. I just didn't want to get it and find that it's way too short. I appreciate the help.

you'll get a big up on the sticks from me, and I think Mr. Land will concur. I really like the smooth moves on the 503 head. Enjoy if you get 'em. 8)

im 6'8".. and it goes all the way up to my eye. fits me fine. Obviously though for dramatic and most other perspective stuff your supposed to shoot at eye level, which is about 5' 8". Maybe if you where doing a NBA movie you would need to get higher, but that is what appleboxes are for :)

ha ha.. I dont know about the water, but I think there is something about the milk thing.. I drank 4 liters a day from the ages of 7-15.
