Tripod head slipping in bowl mount

I have a Sachtler FSB-8 head matched with a pair of Vinten pozi-lock legs, the bowl on the top of the legs is plastic. I've recently started using a Kessler Stealth travel slider with a Manfrotto 501 head on top and the C100 with a Ninja 2. Lately I've noticed that no matter how tight I tighten the ball head off in the bowl, there still seems to be some movement.

Does anyone have any idea/tips to stop the slipping between the ball of the head and the bowl of the mount? Any ideas on how to add some friction?

You're carrying a pretty big load on that poor bowl!

Plastic, eh? For more friction you could rough it up with some 80 grit sandpaper, or even scrape it with a knife. The alternative is to do the same to the ball on the head. Which is cheaper or easier to replace, if you decided to do that at some point?

The quick and dirty fix is to put three pieces of tape 120 degrees apart on the stick bowl. Or jam some Starbucks swizzle sticks in between the ball and bowl.

Maybe you need a bigger bowl. Or an aluminum one.
